Easy on the trainer. Concerned that hip injury might be a stress fracture, although I doubt this. Waiting for it to be pain free then will start running again very slowly.

On the trainer. Plenty of stretching after. No pain at all. Really want to run, really don't want it to hurt. Will try one very slow mile on Thursday.

On the trainer. Single digits here glad I'm not running outside. Hip feels fine. No pain. So far this week I have biked what I will do in June in the half ironman, but I bet I won't have 4 days to do it.

In the pool testing out the finger. It didn't feel bad - it didn't feel good either. And it didn't hurt afterward. So time to start swimming again. Biked for about 10 min before running. Tried a slow mile. Hip started to hurt at the end. Not happy at all. At a loss as what to try next.

On the trainer. Friend who is a PT helped me with stretching back, gluts, and hams yesterday. Hip hurts much worse today. I hate not running.

Ran 1/2 mile. Walk about a quarter then run 1/2 mile. Then hip hurt. 10 miles on the trainer. Starting to run again. Will work up slowly and try to stay out of pain.

Slow and uphill felt hard. Not really running for a month has certainly hurt my conditioning. Afraid it's going to take a long time to get back to where I was, which wasn't even that fast. On the upside no pain.

Trying to slowly bring up mileage. Have been stretching hip which makes it hurt more. Pretty sure it's not a stress fracture or bursitis. Just seems tight in a musculoskeletal kind of way.
