Good to have this one in the books. It was physically pretty hard due to lack of sleep and temp. Picked up the running crew at 9 miles. They were not holding to the advertised 9 min pace. More like 8:30, but good to do a couple at that pace so deep into a run. Last mile was really hard. Recovered easily. So far this winter has been ok. Supposed to get a week of cold and freezing rain so will have to play it by ear next week.

On the treadmill. 7 miles under 8 min per mile. It's still iffy to run outside between the cold and ice. Just trying to keep the milage up and will increase when I can consistently run outside.

Pretty nice out today. 30 degrees! 9 min miles with the group. Could have gone faster would have been happy to go slower. Cold tomorrow not planning on running.

Despite the weather got in another decent week.  Not great and not the number of days or milage I want to be running but still solid.  Didn't have time for any more this morning needed to be at work.  Overall pace under 9 min miles for last 10 miles.  So I can easily run a half in under 2 hours, how do I push that out to a full in under 4.  I still get tired at the end of my 16 mile runs and slow down.

Feeling the May marathon slipping away. I wanted to do 2 18 milers in Feb. It's not happening. Overall distance hasn't been as high as I want it. Was hoping to be averaging about 45 miles per week by now. I don't really want to run a marathon if I can't qualify for Boston, but another side of me says I should do it for the experience. I just don't want to push that hard and need a month off to recover. Today ran 7:50 average for 7 miles on the treadmill.

Outside mid day. 9 min per mile average.

Not very happy about this training. I just haven't been getting in enough long runs or enough overall miles. Feeling like I won't be ready for a BQ time in May. Have decided that I will run anyhow and see how deep in the race I can get on pace. Will use for experience and to work on nutrition.

Didn't make it into Broad St run via lottery. Will have to wrangle a bib transfer.

Got too late of a start due to kids. It was snowing when I started and once it got slippery I stopped. Far short of the 18 miler I wanted to be doing.

It was pretty cold for me to run outside today, but signed up for this a while ago and most of the local runners do it, I didn't want everyone to actually know what a wimp I am so I layered up and ran. I was a complete head case the whole way. Thinking my time is going to be slow because it's so cold, cause I am wearing so many cloths, cause it's hilly, cause I am old, cause I am fat... So many excuses. I ran okay but not as well as I probably could have. I came through the first mile feeling pretty good thinking this is a fairly easy pace I can probably keep it up. Then someone shouted out the time of 8 min. Head not body convinced me that was too fast.

Overall happy with my time. Not bad for February on a hilly course. Wish I wasn't so mental, but how can I not be grateful just to have the ability to just get out there at all.
