A couple of 9 min miles. Felt good and easy. Now that my distance is up where I want it and the body has adapted to it I need to start working more on speed. That probably won't happen in the planned and consistent way I want it to until done traveling in mid august. Other thoughts. There are lots of young thin and very fit looking young men and women wearing the blue wrist bands that signify they are doing ironman on Sunday. That doesn't bother me one bit. The ones that bother me are the folks who aren't so fit looking. If they can do it why can't I. Well the simple answer is because I didn't devote the time to it. Still makes me angry that I can't do everything. Full time job, 4 kids, train for marathon. No time to add significant biking and swim time. Will shoot for next year. |
