Signed up for this race a while ago otherwise would probably not have done it today. I haven't run more than 3.5 miles since early Jan. But since my hip was feeling ok I thought I would do it as a long slow run. I started out in last place. I was the last one to cross the timing mat. Being so far back in the pack worked well. The race was on pretty narrow streets so hard to pass for most of the race. I started very slowly and picked up the pace as the race progressed. I ran 9:22/mile which considering how little I have done lately is pretty good. The very best thing about the race is that my hip does not hurt. |
